Florian Thauvin has endured a difficult time at Newcastle United since signing for the club during the summer transfer window.
According to a report in the Chronicle, Newcastle United’s coaching staff have grown frustrated at Florian Thauvin giving the ball away too much.
Thauvin has had a difficult first few months at St. James’ Park since signing in the summer transfer window, and reports covered by the Chronicle have suggested that he could make a swift return to Ligue 1 in January.
Although they believe that these rumours are wide of the mark, frustrations are apparently growing with the 22-year-old.
Newcastle’s staff feel that Thauvin has given possession away too cheaply in his opening appearances and, as a result, he has dropped out of the first-team fold.
The stats would appear to back up the opinion of Newcastle’s coaches, as he has given the ball away more than any other midfielder in their squad.

Only 69 per cent of the Frenchman’s passes have found a teammate, and he seems to be struggling to adapt to the English game.
Thauvin has not made a Premier League start since the 19th September, and he appears to have a lot of work to do if he is to win his place back.
