Newcastle United are interested in Nottingham Forest’s Ben Osborn.

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United are keen on signing Nottingham Forest’s Ben Osborn, but not until the summer transfer window.

Newcastle have been linked with a move for Osborn throughout January, but any deal is still some way off.

Rafael Benitez does rate the 22-year-old, and has asked Newcastle’s scouts to keep tabs on the winger.

However, the Magpies are reportedly unlikely to make a bid for the Forest youngster any time soon.

Osborn has been a prominent member of Forest’s first-team this season, and he has made 30 appearances.

The midfielder has hit the back of the net on two occasions, and appears to be developing into a leading talent at the City Ground.

Forest have shown a willingness to sell their star prospects in recent times, with Oliver Burke departing last summer.

Forest also allowed Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow to join Newcastle two years ago, and the Magpies reportedly feel that Osborn could be another potential addition for them in the future.
