Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden has gone on record to state he wants a move away.

Isaac Hayden arrives for the Premier League Match between Newcastle United and Leicester City at St.James' Park on September 29, 2018, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United’s board may well deny Isaac Hayden of his wish to leave permanently.

Hayden has gone on record to suggest he wants to leave St. James’ Park for personal reasons.

The 23-year-old wants to move closer to his family, but Newcastle are loathed to lose another midfielder.

The Magpies are set to be without Ki Sung-Yeung, who is currently out with injury, while Mo Diame and Jonjo Shelvey are also sidelined.

Hayden has been forced to play in Newcastle’s most recent matches, with so many of his teammates out.

And Newcastle’s board now will only sanction a loan transfer, which looks highly unlikely to take place.

Rafael Benitez will only let Hayden go if he is permitted to sign a replacement this month.

And with Newcastle unable to bring in a large fee for Hayden, if they only sanction a loan deal, it seems that the combative midfielder may be kept on Tyneside against his will.
