Newcastle United are reportedly refusing to budge on their asking price for Aleksandar Mitrovic, which could be a blow to Rafael Benitez’s side.

Mitrovic looked set to move to Fulham this summer, after spending last summer on loan at Craven Cottage.
However, Newcastle and Fulham have been unable to agree on a price for the forward so far, with both sides refusing to budge.

Mitrovic is valued at £20 million by Newcastle, but Fulham only want to pay £16 million.
Newcastle are refusing to lower their asking price, and that could be bad news for Rafael Benitez’s transfer plans.

It appears that Newcastle need to sell before buying, and Mitrovic was their most valuable asset that they were prepared to sell.
Mitrovic now could be kept at Newcastle, which may appeal to supporters, but Benitez has seemingly always had his doubts over the Serbian.
