Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Tom Heaton from Burnley in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Tom Heaton from Burnley in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
According to the British tabloid, the Magpies and the Eagles would have to pay up to £15 million in order to secure the services of the goalkeeper.
Good player
Heaton is a very good goalkeeper and is one of the best players in the current Burnley team. The 31-year-old has made over 150 appearances for the Clarets, and has proved himself in the Premier League.

The England international would be a good signing for Newcastle or Palace, but would he be able to play regularly for them?
Newcastle have Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Matz Sels as their three main custodians, while at Selhurst Park Heaton wold have to compete with Steve Mandanda for a place in the first team.
Leaving Burnley for Newcastle would be a step-up for Heaton, though, as he would be playing in front of 50,000 fans at St. James’ Park for one of the biggest clubs in England.
