It has been reported that Newcastle’s Championship rivals, Aston Villa, are also interested in the 19-year-old midfielder.
The report claims that Blackpool rejected a £500,000 offer for the teenager in the summer of 2016, and that they are hoping to get £1m for him.
Osayi-Samuel has recently got his form back and is playing well for League Two outfit Blackpool at the moment.
The youngster would be a good signing for Newcastle or Villa, although it is unlikely that he would be able to break into the first team at the Magpies of the Villans.
If Newcastle do sign Osayi-Samuel in the summer transfer window, then they should loan him out to a Championship club in order to help him progress and develop.
The Magpies are playing in the Championship this season, but they are likely to get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the campaign.
