According to EFE, Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic wants a return to the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he made his name.
The report states the Spanish champions are currently negotiating with the German club.
Earlier this year, The Shields Gazette reported an exclusive in which they stated Newcastle were weighing up an audacious loan move for the Serbian.
Now, however, it looks as though Jovic wants a return to German football.
The 22-year-old shone for Eintracht Frankfurt.
The former Red Star Belgrade hitman netted 36 goals in 75 games for the German side, which earned him a £52.4 million move to Real Madrid.

Jovic was so prolific, he even drew praise from Lionel Messi.
As quoted by GiveMeSport, the Barcelona legend described the attacker as a “magical player who makes the impossible, possible”.
However, the striker has struggled in the Spanish capital, scoring just twice in 27 games so far.

Perhaps that poor form is what encouraged Newcastle to think he was a feasible target.
The Tynesiders have since landed Callum Wilson from Bournemouth in a £20 million deal, who got off the mark with a goal on his debut against West Ham.
While the Magpies’ ambition should be commended, it was always going to be a difficult move and now looks like one that isn’t going to happen.
