Newcastle are said to have made an offer for the Italy international.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim Newcastle United have tabled an offer worth £11.4million for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old could be looking for a move away from the Italian champions after being limited to just 19 appearances in all competitions, with Massimiliano Allegri’s side boasting plenty of options in every position.

Indeed, Sturaro has been made to wait with Juve boasting stars such as Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic, Claudio Marchisio and breakthrough talent Rodrigo Bentancur.
The report claims that Newcastle have bid £11.4million for the four-time Italy international, Juve are requesting that any interested parties pay £17.5million. But the report reckons a compromise can be found.

The Italian publication reckons Juve and The Toon can come to an agreement between £13.1 and £14million for Sturaro, with Newcastle looking to add a midfielder to their side as Mikel Merino’s future on Tyneside looks to be over.
The Spaniard has been linked with a return back to Spain this summer, with a number of La Liga clubs interested in his signature. Over the weekend, Real Sociedad are said to have made an enquiry for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
