Newcastle United are chasing the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Randal Kolo Muani having sent representatives to Germany.
Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani is wanted by Newcastle United in a potentially huge summer move.
That is according to Tuttomercatoweb, who claim that Newcastle sent representatives to watch Kolo Muani feature for Frankfurt against Freiburg.
It’s unclear whether they were just scouts or actual officials, but we would learn towards the former.
Frankfurt claimed a 2-1 win with Kolo Muani once again finding the back of the net.
Newcastle are plotting a move for Kolo Muani but allegedly face competition from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Magpies should be able to splash the cash this summer but a deal for Kolo Muani would shatter their record.
The Independent reported earlier in May that Bayern Munich believe they have a £100million move in the pipeline for Kolo Muani.
That’s a staggering price, even more than Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak combined at £40million and £58million respectively.
Newcastle even showing an interest in Kolo Muani at this stage may suggest that they are open to a deal though.

Who is Newcastle United target Randal Kolo Muani?
Kolo Muani hails from Bondy, the same part of Paris as superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The 24-year-old may not have the glitz and glamour of Mbappe but he is getting there gradually.
Kolo Muani left Nantes on a free transfer last summer after 23 goals in 87 games.
Frankfurt felt they had landed a bargain and so it has proved, with Kolo Muani smashing 23 goals in all competitions this season.
Kolo Muani even featured for France at the World Cup and made an impact in the final, even having a golden last-gasp chance saved by Emi Martinez.
More caps will be on the way for Kolo Muani, who has gone from being a free transfer to being worth £100million in just a year.
Newcastle will be very attracted to Kolo Muani because of his ability to play up front or out wide, using his pace and size to cause huge problems.
It’s still a little hard to see Newcastle splashing £100million on Kolo Muani but the Magpies have big plans this summer and could spring a shock.
