Elias Sorensen will reportedly leave Newcastle United on loan.

The Chronicle has reported that Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has added the greenlight for Elias Sorensen to leave on loan this month.
With 19 goals, Sorensen has been exceptional for Newcastle’s U23 side this season and it looks like he won’t be short on suitors in the lower tiers.
Manager of League One side Blackpool Terry McPhillips confirmed his interest [The Gazette] in signing the Denmark Under-21 hitman, who is on international duty.
It remains to be seen where he goes, but it looks like he is leaving until the end of the season after Magpies boss Benitez ‘sanctioned’ a temporary departure, according to The Chronicle.
The move is bound to frustrate some fans of the North-East club, many of whom have been urging Benitez to play the 19-year-old in United’s senior team as of late.
The Spanish manager has resisted those calls and looks set to continue with Solomon Rondon and Joselu as his main strikers.
On one hand you can understand why Newcastle fans want him promoted, because Joselu has been rather dreadful since arriving on Tyneside 18 months ago, but this isn’t Benitez’s first rodeo. He knows how to manage and nurture young players and if he feels that a loan is more beneficial for his development than sticking him in the first team then that must be respected.
