Newcastle United are interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart on loan this summer.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Newcastle have received a transfer boost as Joe Hart is open to considering the prospect of making a loan move to St James’ Park this summer.
The Magpies are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, and the Daily Mail reports that the Magpies have made an enquiry to Manchester City about potentially signing the 30-year-old.

Hart’s future looks set to be away from the Etihad Stadium after more than a decade with the Citizens. He spent last season on loan in Italy with Torino, and the Daily Mail reports that City are open to selling him permanently, preferring that option to a loan move.
While City’s reluctance to continue contributing to his wages may dent Newcastle’s chances of completing a deal, the Daily Mail also suggests that Hart himself is willing to join the Magpies on a temporary basis.
While City’s stance would suggest that a deal is unlikely, the terms of Hart’s contract perhaps hints that Newcastle biding their time may not be too great a gamble.
The Chronicle reports that the former Birmingham loanee is currently earning £125,000 a week at City, so it may perhaps be a surprise if any side willing to pursue a permanent deal are keen to offer similar terms, thus perhaps helping clear the path for a potential loan deal to be sanctioned.
And with Hart keen on joining Newcastle, it may not be out of the question to suggest that they may well be on course to win the race if City decide to sanction a loan exit.
