Newcastle United have been heavily linked with Torino’s Perr Schuurs in recent days.
On Monday, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the Magpies ‘appear intent’ on placing a bid for the 23-year-old.
Now, Sport Witness has provided an update on Schuurs to Newcastle involving two reports from Italy.

DAZN, via Calciomercato, say a ‘super offer’ would arrive at the Serie A side from Newcastle for the Dutchman.
Schuurs is apparently ‘very popular’ with the Magpies, who would be ready to offer €35m (£31m) to Torino.
However, Tuttosport’s article suggests that Newcastle would need a lot more to get their hands on Schuurs.
They claim any club that knocks on Urbano Cairo’s door must present ‘a mountain of money’ for the defender.
The Toro president reportedly values Schuurs at €40m-€50m (£35m-£44m).
However, even this valuation “does not frighten the Premier League”.
Newcastle intend to ‘take the first concrete steps’ with the Italian club to sign the former Ajax man.
The Magpies spent around £35m to bring fellow Netherlands ace Sven Botman to St James’ Park summer.
Now, the Premier League side could make a similar proposal for his compatriot in the next window, added the report.

Our view
Schuurs is a quality player who has hit the ground running in Serie A following his summer move from Ajax.
To date, he has made 26 appearances for the Granata, keeping them on course for a top-half finish this term.
Schuurs has also made two Netherlands matchday squads, though he’s yet to debut for the Oranje.
Newcastle already boast a superb defence and would improve it further with the 23-year-old.
Better still, Schuurs already has experience in playing alongside Botman.
As per Transfermarkt, the two have shared the pitch 27 times for club and country at age level.
This means Schuurs should be able to hit the ground running in forming a tight defence alongside Botman.
