Nottingham Forest loanee Jack Colback reportedly has no future at Newcastle United.

According to a report from the Chronicle, Newcastle are ready to let Jack Colback complete a permanent move to Nottingham Forest, with the midfielder unlikely to be given another chance with the Magpies regardless of whether Rafa Benitez stays or not.
Colback has been extremely impressive during his time at the City Ground. The 29-year-old has played 33 times in the Championship for Forest, and some of his performances may have left some of the Toon Army wondering whether he may get another chance with the Magpies.
The Chronicle reports that his £50,000-a-week deal at St James’ Park has just over a year left to run. And with Benitez’s future still up in the air, it appeared that Colback’s may be similarly difficult to predict.
However, the report suggests that Newcastle will not stand in the combative midfielder’s way of joining Forest permanently, with his parent club set to let him go regardless of whether the Spaniard stays or not.

It could be a very good piece of business for Forest to hold onto Colback if they manage to agree a deal with Newcastle at the end of the season. He has been a brilliant addition on loan, and Martin O’Neill’s men still have a genuine chance of making the play-offs this season.
It could prove to be a deal that suits all parties. If Newcastle have no plans to reconsider Colback’s situation, then moving his contract off the wage bill could be extremely beneficial heading into the summer.
