Newcastle United are reportedly pushing to sign Toulouse star Christopher Jullien before Thursday.

According to L’Equipe, Newcastle United are ramping up their interest in Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien – but have yet to make a bid.
The Magpies tied up signing number six of the summer on Monday evening, as West Brom striker Salmon Rondon arrived on loan, with Dwight Gayle heading the other way.
Rondon joins Martin Dubravka, Fabian Schar, Ki Sung-yueng, Kenedy and Yoshinori Muto at St. James’ Park, but Rafael Benitez will be keen on more additions before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Another defender is imperative given Florian Lejeune’s injury, and Newcastle are seemingly moving for one even after signing Schar to to support Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark following Chancel Mbemba’s exit.
L’Equipe report that Newcastle are ramping up their interest in Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien, but are yet to make their first bid for the Frenchman as things stand.
It’s noted that Jullien is keen on playing in the Premier League, and that may just boost Newcastle’s hopes of securing the centre back’s signature inside the next 48 hours.

Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Jullien started out with Auxerre before heading to Germany with Freiburg, and after impressing on loan with Dijon, Toulouse snapped him up in 2016.
The giant defender has starred alongside new West Ham signing Issa Diop in the Toulouse back line, and the French press seemingly think that Newcastle could land him in the coming days.
