According to A Bola, Newcastle United are prepared to pay €15million (£13.5million) to sign Porto striker Moussa Marega this summer.
It’s claimed that Newcastle are ready to make their move for Marega, but they may need to improve on that planned offer.
Porto allegedly want around €20million (£18million) for Marega, and that’s the absolute minimum they will take for him.
Marega has a release clause of €30million (£27million) in his contract, so Porto are willing to give a slight discount, but not the half-price fee Newcastle want.
The Malian attacker is inside the final year of his Porto contract, and they don’t want to lose him for nothing in 2021.

The 29-year-old hit 15 goals and nine assists for Porto last season, and his total record of 60 goals and 28 assists in 145 games for Porto is hugely impressive.
Marega is built for the Premier League, possessing a huge frame and impressive strength, but he’s far from a slouch as he can test any defender for pace.
Marega fits in well as a lone striker, and he’s a hard worker too, which Steve Bruce will love. Newcastle should be wary of investing too much in him given that he is approaching 30, but he has some attributes that the Magpies should be looking for up top – providing he comes at the right price.
