Karl Darlow will play for Newcastle United against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Daily Mail report.
Newcastle feared the worst when Darlow picked up a shoulder injury against Manchester United in their last match.
However, scans have revealed that his problem is not actually too serious and he will be fit enough to feature for them at the weekend.
That is a major boost to Newcastle, as they are already struggling in the goalkeeper area.
Newcastle have lost Martin Dubravka through injury until December and the last thing they needed was Darlow also to have to spend a lengthy period of time on the treatment table.
Darlow, who was labelled as a ‘great goalkeeper’ by Eden Hazard back in 2017 (Chelsea website), has been in good form this term, and looks a far more reliable option than third choice stopper Mark Gillespie, who has no Premier League experience.
Darlow could be heavily tested against Wolves at the weekend, as Newcastle will go into the game as underdogs.
