Newcastle United have been linked with a stunning £75 million raid of Juventus with Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey and Douglas Costa all in the sights of a newly-minted Premier League outfit, according to TuttoJuve.

While the Mohammed Bin Salman takeover is yet to be completed, it seems only a matter of time before a perennial underachiever becomes one of the most powerful forces in the European transfer market.

And with a Saudi billionaire bankrolling things at St James’ Park, Newcastle would have no trouble financing deals for not one, not two but three Juventus stars.

Reports from Italy say that the Magpies have set their sights on a pair of £20 million-rated midfielders, former PSG ace Rabiot and ex-Arsenal favourite Ramsey.

The £40 million Brazil international completes the trio and, if Newcastle can agree a triple-deal which would have the whole footballing world sitting up and taking notice, it will set the club’s prospective new owners back a cool £75 million.

There is no question that Rabiot, Ramsey and Costa would all stroll into Newcastle’s starting XI without breaking sweat.

Costa, a jet-heeled winger who shone under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, is exactly the kind of enigmatic, explosive attacker who tends to strike a chord with the Tyneside faithful, a la Laurent Robert, David Ginola or Hatem Ben Arfa.

Ramsey and Rabiot, meanwhile, have the technical ability and big-game nous to forge one of the most impressive midfield partnerships in the Premier League, even if both players have found regular starts hard to come by in Turin.
