Newcastle United’s Elias Sorensen has shown major promise this season.

According to The Sun, Newcastle United have offered a new contract to striker Elias Sorensen, but he wants more money than is being offered.
The Magpies have struggled to bring through top young players in recent years, especially under Rafael Benitez, who has never been one for major youth development.
There are some good young players coming through the ranks though, and no player has captured the imagination of Newcastle fans more than striker Sorensen.
The Dane, 19, joined Newcastle from HB Koge in 2016, and has smashed 15 goals in 15 games for Newcastle’s Under-23’s this season.
Fans want Sorensen promoted to the first team at some point soon, but that seems unlikely, even though Newcastle are working hard to keep him at St James’ Park.

It’s today claimed that Newcastle have offered Sorensen a new deal to stay with the club, handing him a three-year contract – but there is a major problem already.
The report states that Newcastle have only offered Sorensen £1,500-a-week in this new offer, whilst the teenage hitman wants more money, demanding £2,500-a-week.
Newcastle can certainly afford the extra £1,000-a-week, but the longer any contract talks drag on, the more likely it would be that Sorensen ends up moving on and heading elsewhere.
