Newcastle United are keen to sign Antonee Robinson, after his asking price has fallen by more than £8 million, according to the Daily Mail.
Sheffield United are apparently leading the way to land the Wigan Athletic left-back, but Newcastle also hold a keen interest.
It is no surprise to see the addition of Robinson appealing to Premier League sides either.
Following Wigan’s relegation to League One, he could now cost £1.9 million, after almost moving for £10 million to AC Milan at the start of the year (Mail).
If he was to move to Newcastle, Robinson would offer Steve Bruce’s side an option left-back, and his pace could be a valuable asset.

Newcastle are currently short of options on the left-hand side of defence, following the expiration of Danny Rose’s loan deal, so it is no surprise to see them going for another player in the position.
Robinson was one of the standout full-backs in the Championship last term, which has led to a number of top flight clubs showing interest.
