According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Leicester City winger Demarai Gray this summer.
It’s claimed that Steve Bruce is a big fan of Gray, and now wants to bring him over to St James’ Park.
Gray has just one year left on his Leicester contract, and he may choose to wait it out and leave as a free agent next summer.
Still, the Foxes will have chances to sell Gray this summer, and Newcastle may present themselves as a real option.
Gray, 24, was touted as a star of the future at Birmingham City, but it maybe hasn’t gone quite as he would have expected at Leicester.
Gray has struggled to nail down a starting role at Leicester. He started just three Premier League games this season, his lowest tally in a full season since joining the Foxes.

He still managed two goals and three assists in the Premier League, and Gray may have shown enough as a substitute to attract interest from clubs who want to utilise him more regularly.
The Times recently noted that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Gray, with Jose Mourinho keen to bring the speedy wide man to North London.
With Bruce now entering the race too, Gray could have options this summer – and the Magpies may just be able to give him more football than Tottenham right now, given that Spurs already have Son Heung-min down the left.
