Football Transfers have reported that Newcastle are determined to secure the services of Rice from Premier League rivals West Ham.
The Magpies are reportedly ready to pay as much as £90 million for the 24-year-old England international, described as “perfect” by talkSPORT pundit and Rangers legend Ally McCoist in March 2023.

In our view, Declan Rice would be a very good and exciting signing for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old is one of the best midfielders around and is likely to get even better and improve even further.
Rice is a regular for the England national football team, and he has been also playing in European competitions for West Ham.
Newcastle are a massive club who are going places under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Eddie Howe’s side could finish in the Premier League top four this season, which means that they will feature in the UEFA Champions League next campaign.
Things are only going to get better for Newcastle, and the chance to play for the Magpies and be part of their grand project could be tempting to Rice.
Rice has made 34 appearances in the Premier League for West Ham this season.
The Englishman has scored three goals and given two assists in those games.
The West Ham no. 41 has also scored one goal in four UEFA Europa Conference League matches for the Hammers this campaign.
