Newcastle United have now entered talks with Eddie Howe over potentially replacing Steve Bruce at St. James’ Park, the Daily Mirror report.
Howe to Newcastle?
The latest update claims that Howe is now ‘in discussions’ with Newcastle over their managerial post.
Howe has been out of work ever since leaving Bournemouth back in 2020.
The 43-year-old was once considered one of the brightest up-and-coming English managers in the game, but his relegation with Bournemouth does stand as a blot on his copy-book.
That being said, Newcastle are still apparently considering giving Howe a chance to work with them.
An appealing appointment?

He could be an interesting appointment for the Magpies too, as he would surely promote a lot the principles the fans want.
Howe’s sides always play stylish, attacking football which Newcastle fans have been so desperately craving.
Howe, who has 228 career wins, being in talks doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be given the Newcastle job, but it does put him a step closer to the role and suggests that he is now a very serious candidate to take over.
Bruce currently still remains in place as Newcastle boss, but it would be a major surprise if he led the side out at the weekend, when they are due to take on Crystal Palace.
