Newcastle United are hoping to make some loan signings this summer to make the most of their transfer budget.

A report in the Chronicle has suggested that Newcastle are keeping a keen eye on Chelsea defender Nathan Ake as they look to make the most of their transfer budget this summer.
The Chronicle reports that Benitez is likely to have around £100 million to spend as the Magpies prepare for their return to the Premier League, but the Spaniard is anticipating that that may not necessarily be enough to make all of the changes he hopes to make.
Therefore, the Chronicle suggests that he may target some loan deals with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek being earmarked as a player that Benitez may want.
But he is not the only Stamford Bridge starlet on Benitez’s radar with the Chronicle reporting that the Newcastle boss is also an admirer of Ake, who has made an impression in the top flight this year but remains on the periphery of Antonio Conte’s squad.
The 22-year-old – who made his league debut under Benitez – was exceptional during his loan spell with Bournemouth earlier in the season and was ultimately recalled by his parent club.

But with Ake since making one league appearance for the champions, it may not be out of the question to suggest that Benitez may have some luck trying to tempt Chelsea into sanctioning a temporary deal.
And if they manage to do some good business in the loan market – including potentially bringing Ake in – then perhaps it may be possible for Benitez to use his entire budget on recruiting a few marquee additions.
