According to The Scottish Sun, Eddie Howe is ‘seriously interested’ in becoming Celtic boss – and has started doing his own research into the job.
It’s claimed that Howe has started speaking to contacts within the game about Celtic, and is seeking to learn more about the organisational structure at Parkhead.
Howe has allegedly been sounded out, and he has made it known that he would consider a move to Celtic as he starts doing his homework on the task at hand.
Celtic have been seeking a new manager since Neil Lennon resigned in February, but don’t appear to be any closer to naming their next boss.
Howe has been available for almost a year having left his post as Bournemouth boss following their relegation to the Championship, but this would be quite the coup for the Bhoys.
The Chronicle claim that Howe would be interested in becoming Newcastle United manager this summer, with The Sun recently reporting the Magpies’ interest in him.

With Steve Bruce still in the job though, Howe is having a serious look into the Celtic role, and has made it clear that he is keen on the role.
An interesting note is that Celtic are considering David Webb for their director of football role, and he is very close to Howe having worked with him at Bournemouth.
Reuniting Webb and Howe could be the ideal new start for Celtic, and Howe’s decision to speak to contacts in the game suggests that a move really could happen.
