The Newcastle United boss has earned high praise for the job he has done on Tyneside.
According to a report from Spanish publication Marca, Magpies boss Rafa Benitez has parted company with his Spanish-based agent Manuel García Quilón.
The 57-year-old has worked with Quilón for a number of years, and enjoyed a close relationship by all accounts.
The pair have now agreed to end their relationship by mutual consent, however, according to Marca, and the move could be seen as a sign of Benitez’s long-term commitment to life in England.
The Spaniard has enjoyed a relatively successful spell in charge at St James’ Park, guiding Newcastle to promotion back to the Premier League last season, and masterminding their impressive start to the 2017/18 campaign.
There have been questions raised regarding his future on Tyneside, however, what with the uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club, and links with the Everton manager’s job.

The Magpies faithful will be hoping that Benitez remains on Tyneside, however, with such a bright future seemingly ahead for the Toon.
And with Marca’s recent report suggesting that he no longer has an overseas agent, it seems as though the Spaniard has no plans on leaving England anytime soon.
