Newcastle United are reportedly moving for Paris Saint-Germain’s Stanley Nsoki.

According to L’Equipe, Newcastle United have made a new move to sign Paris Saint-Germain left back Stanley Nsoki – but need to almost double their €8million (£7.2million bid).

The Magpies have brought in Hoffenheim striker Joelinton to bolster Steve Bruce’s options, but it’s clear that a number of other positions need some work.

Left back is one of those, as competition is needed for Paul Dummett, having seen loanee Antonio Barreca flop in the second half of last season.

Now, it seems that Newcastle are returning for an old target, with a £7.2million offer on the table for Nsoki – but PSG want around €15million (£13.5million), meaning Newcastle need to almost double their bid.

PSG are likely to cash in on Nsoki, who appeared 15 times for the first team last season but has struggled to really establish himself at the Parc des Prince.

The 20-year-old has real potential though, and could be a talent that Newcastle can make a profit on in the future – which is just what the club are looking for.

Get French Football News also note that Nsoki is now keen on a move to Newcastle, a year since they were first interested in his signature.

The Chronicle noted last summer that Rafael Benitez wanted Nsoki at St James’ Park, but no move materialised, and they’ll now be hoping it’s second time lucky – but they need to vastly improve on their new bid for the Frenchman.
