The Newcastle United, Leeds United and West Ham United-linked midfielder Joao Mario will undergo a medical at Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, according to L’Equipe.
It was claimed by O Jogo last month that Newcastle, Leeds and West Ham were ‘showing an interest’ in Mario, and had ‘taken surveys’ on the Inter Milan midfielder.
But a surprise move to PSG is now said to be on the cards, with the Everton striker Moise Kean also due at the Parc des Princes.
Newcastle have already strengthened in Mario’s position this summer, bringing in the former Burnley man Jeff Hendrick. However, both Leeds and West Ham could still be looking to recruit there ahead of the global and domestic transfer deadlines.
But Mario, who was loaned to West Ham during David Moyes’s first spell as Hammers manager, will not be arriving, it seems.

The 45-cap Portugal star spent last season on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow and has two years left on his Inter contract.
