According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are in the race to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

It had been reported that Arsenal and Spurs were leading the race for Fraser. Now, five Premier League clubs allegedly want to sign him.

Crystal Palace and Watford are in the race too, whilst Newcastle have joined the race. Bournemouth want to keep him beyond June 30th, in order to help fight relegation.

The Scot is out of contract this summer, meaning he can leave Bournemouth for free. He won’t be short of offers, despite his disappointing season.

Fraser was a star last term, notching seven goals and 14 assists. He hasn’t managed to replicate those numbers, bagging just one goal and four assists.

Newcastle may have a big takeover to come, but that isn’t stopping them from looking at bargains. Fraser would certainly tick that box, but that’s exactly why he is in demand.

He’s hard working and quick, whilst he has shown creativity in the past. On a free transfer, he may well be worth a punt in the hope of getting him back to his best.

With Allan Saint-Maximin on one side, using Fraser on the other could give Newcastle a dangerous combination out wide. Arsenal and Spurs will still be favourites, but Newcastle will hope to have an exciting project to offer.
