Rafael Benitez is allegedly a big admirer of the young Reds talent.

Newcastle United could be thwarted in their attempts to add another signing this summer, with the Daily Star reporting that while Rafael Benitez is interested in signing Liverpool prodigy Sheyi Ojo on loan, Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the teenager at Anfield.
The Magpies have already signed five players this summer including Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie, but are on the lookout for more new recruits as they brace themselves for the hectic schedule of life in the Championship.
They have already raided the Premier League for three of their new arrivals and they are looking to the top flight again, with the Daily Star claiming that Benitez is hoping to secure a loan deal for Ojo.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last term, breaking into the first-team fold on Merseyside under Klopp after returning from a profitable loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After his recall back to Anfield, Ojo made 11 appearances in all competitions, scoring once in the FA Cup, and showed signs that he could be ready to knock on the door of a regular place in Klopp’s side.

However, Newcastle are hoping that he will be allowed to gain more experience in the Championship this term as they look to bring the exciting youngster to St. James’ Park.
According to the report, though, Klopp is unlikely to sanction even a temporary exit for the England youth international as he wants the option of calling upon Ojo, particularly now that he has lost Jordon Ibe to Bournemouth.
It appears as though a deal will be difficult to make happen for Newcastle, but there could be a chance of Liverpool reconsidering if Benitez offers a stubborn pursuit and a hefty loan fee for the young star.
