Newcastle United are reportedly interested in landing Liverpool star Jordon Ibe.
Liverpool’s Jordon Ibe celebrates scoring
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United have expressed an interest in signing Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe this summer – but haven’t made a bid yet as he’s still discussing a move to Bournemouth.
The Magpies have splashed the cash already this summer to sign goalkeeper Matz Sels, right back Jesus Gamez, midfielder Isaac Hayden, winger Matt Ritchie and striker Dwight Gayle, but manager Rafael Benitez still appears to be keen on new signings.

With question marks over the futures of Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Sissoko, another player who can play out wide may be needed this summer, and Benitez is seemingly keen to raid one of his former clubs.
The Daily Mail report that Newcastle have expressed an interest in snapping up Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe, but have yet to make an offer for the player.

Ibe, 20, scored four goals in 41 games for Liverpool last season, but the arrival of Sadio Mane from Southampton means that Ibe could be pushed down the pecking order at Anfield.
The report claims that Ibe is still in talks with Premier League rivals Bournemouth over a £15m switch, with Newcastle lurking in the background as the pacey wide man weighs up his options.

That £15m fee may mean that Newcastle will have to sell Wijnaldum or Sissoko to strike a deal, and with Bournemouth well down the line with a deal, the Magpies won’t want to wait too much longer if Benitez really does want to bring Ibe to Tyneside.
The prospect of Ibe’s pace and Matt Ritchie’s guile is enough to strike fear into any Championship defence, whilst they would surely provide superb ammunition for Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle in attack.
