Norwich City’s Robbie Brady is wanted by Aston Villa, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Swansea City.

According to The Mirror, Newcastle United are one of six teams interested in signing Norwich City ace Robbie Brady during this month’s transfer window.

Brady, 24, struggled to make the grade at Manchester United having made just one first-team appearance for the Red Devils, but made his name during a fine spell with Norwich City.

After 14 goals in 124 for the Tigers, Brady was snapped up by Norwich City in 2015, and hit three goals in 36 Premier League games for the Canaries last term.

Brady impressed with the Republic of Ireland during Euro 2016, but he’s endured some ups and downs in frustrating season for Norwich so far, with Alex Neil’s men lying five points off the play-offs.

Now, The Mirror report that Norwich have slapped a £12million asking price on Brady, reducing their valuation having demanded £20million or him after Euro 2016.

The report states that Newcastle United have joined the race for his signature, with Aston Villa Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Swansea City all interested in landing the Irishman, who can play at left back or on the left of midfield.

Newcastle have mostly used Paul Dummett at left back this season, but the Welshman has been criticised by fans this term, and summer signing Achraf Lazaar has played just five times arriving from Palermo.

Brady would give Newcastle a solid option at left back with great crossing ability, whilst his versatility would also come in handy for Rafael Benitez – but winning the race for his signature won’t be easy, given that the Magpies would have to beat off competition from five other clubs, including four Premier League sides.
