Newcastle United have reportedly identified two players in France and another in Spain as transfer targets.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United are “working hard” on the transfer front this summer and have identified at least three foreign players as potential targets.
Newcastle are yet to sign anyone this summer and fans will be desperate to steer clear of the shambles which saw them miss out on a host of talent 12 months ago.
However, the Magpies are already linked with plenty of players but, according to reports, their real targets might not be the ones getting column inches recently.
The Chronicle have claimed that the St James’s Park club have identified two players in Ligue 1 as potential signings, along with one other name in Spanish football.

The report stops short of mentioning names, but it is not related to the recent speculation about Newcastle’s transfer activity.
According to The Mirror, Benitez has lodged a £20 million offer for Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend, while Chelsea-owned Kenedy has also been linked with a permanent move to the North East.
Meanwhile, some players are linked with leaving United and The Daily Mail reported on Saturday that Stoke City have offered £10 million for striker Dwight Gayle.
