According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle United have held ‘intensive talks’ for the likes of Harry Wilson, Callum Wilson and Josh King.
It’s claimed that the Magpies are keen on all three players, who suffered relegation with Bournemouth last season.
Harry Wilson is now back at Liverpool after his loan spell at the Vitality Stadium, and the Reds may be willing part with him this summer.
Namesake Callum Wilson and fellow striker Josh King are both likely to want returns to the Premier League, especially with both players now 28.
Newcastle’s talks have allegedly been ‘intensive’ for a fortnight now, but it’s suggested that Mike Ashley’s budget restrictions could be a problem.
Newcastle don’t have big money to play with after missing out on their takeover, and that means attempts to finalise deals have so far proven ‘impossible’.

Another target is Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, with Newcastle wanting a loan deal, but the London Evening Standard suggest that he has undergone a medical with Crystal Palace instead.
This is just more frustration for Newcastle and Steve Bruce, with targets identified but no budget to bring them in as things stand.
