Italian outlet CMW claim Newcastle have a £26million bid ready to go in for AC Milan attacker Charles De Ketelaere ahead of the January transfer window – with the Belgian struggling in Italy since his move from Club Brugge.
The 21-year-old joined Milan in the summer having rejected Leeds to do so. However, it is a move that has so far failed. Indeed, he has only managed one assist in 15 games for Milan – failing to score a single goal for his new club.
With the January window approaching and De Ketelaere only starting eight of his 15 games, a move could materialise. Newcastle are showing interest and have readied a £26million bid to sign him from Milan and end his early struggles.
But Milan are keen to make De Ketelaere’s move work out. While Newcastle were said to be interested before his move to Milan last summer, any bid from Newcastle will be rejected. He has a contract with the Italians until June 2027.

Do Newcastle need De Ketelaere? In the summer, you would say the need for a versatile attacker like De Ketelaere was great. But they have signed Alexander Isak, and Joe Willock is impressing as an attacking midfielder.
Miguel Almiron’s incredible form on the right has lessened the need for a right-sided winger. With Allan Saint-Maximin fit, he is easily first choice on the left. So, actually, Newcastle well-balanced in attack. De Ketelaere is best as a 10.
It is probably the position Newcastle do need the most. Another body in attack, even if he does not start, would really help Eddie Howe. But it is fair to say that the need for a player like De Ketelaere is not as great as it was in the summer.
