Newcastle United’s potential new owners are ready to walk away from any takeover deal if the wait continues much longer, according to The Times.
There have been suggestions in the Daily Mail that Newcastle’s takeover could go through this week.
However, in a rather worrying update, The Times suggest that if Newcastle’s prospective owners aren’t given the green light by the Premier League soon then they may well give up and consider other options.
Newcastle’s Saudi investors are still hopeful that a deal will be done sooner rather than later.
However, they are now reportedly running out of patience after waiting for months for approval from the Premier League.
The report is sure to cause some concern around Newcastle, as there has consistently been a lack of clarity around the takeover bid.

Although there is great excitement about the club’s future if they are bought out, Newcastle supporters have been waiting some time to find out the Premier League’s verdict.
And it seems that if the league does not reach a conclusion in the near future then Newcastle fans could be left disappointed, with the Saudi investors prepared to walk away from the deal.
