Newcastle United forward Siem De Jong is all set to complete his move to Ajax on Monday.

Newcastle United are expected to remain busy in the final few days of the summer transfer window, with Rafael Benitez looking to bring in new faces as well as shipping out players that are surplus to the requirements.
One of them is Dutch attacking midfield-cum-forward Siem De Jong, who is all set to complete a £4 million move to Ajax, as reported by Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf.

De Jong joined Newcastle in 2014 from Ajax. Unfortunately, his time at the Tyneside club has been plagued with injuries, and as such has made only 26 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Last season, he was loaned out to PSV Eindhoven where he made 23 appearances in all competitions. The report claims that the 28-year-old will return to his former club on a three year deal.

Benitez is looking to collect funds through player sales and re-invest in the squad. However, with time running out, it remains to be seen how quickly and efficiently Newcastle can get their transfer deals sorted.
Newcastle fans took to Twitter to express their reaction. Here are some of the selected tweets:
