According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United now know that they face a major battle to keep hold of goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
It’s claimed that Arsenal remain keen on signing Woodman, having been linked with signing him for many transfer windows now.
Woodman has spent the last year-and-a-half on loan at Swansea City, and doesn’t want to come back to Newcastle just to sit on the sidelines.
Steve Bruce is already struggling to keep his goalkeepers happy, with Martin Dubravka frustrated at being behind Karl Darlow this season.
Add Woodman into that mix, and Newcastle will have an issue between the sticks, as three impressive goalkeepers won’t want to battle for one spot.
Woodman, 23, joined Newcastle from Crystal Palace in 2013, joining father Andy at St James’ Park as he served as goalkeeping coach with the Magpies.

He has only played four times for Newcastle’s first team so far, and the Magpies will face a big decision over his future this summer after five loans away from the club.
It’s no shock to see Arsenal linked again, as father Andy is now their head of goalkeeping, so a family reunion back in London could make sense.
However, Arsenal look to be happy with loanee Mathew Ryan as their backup, and Woodman wouldn’t stand much chance of supplanting Bernd Leno as Mikel Arteta’s first-choice stopper.
