Newcastle United are reportedly set to sell Adam Armstrong this summer.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United are set to sell striker Adam Armstrong this summer – but he wants to stay St. James’ Park.
The Magpies are plotting summer moves having stayed in the Premier League at the first time of asking, and manager Rafael Benitez will be keen to land major reinforcements.
A new striker will be needed, but it now seems that Newcastle will be offloading a strikerin order to slash their numbers and move fringe players out of the club.
It’s therefore claimed by The Chronicle that the Magpies are ‘open to offers’ for striker Adam Armstrong, effectively putting him up for sale this summer.

Armstrong, 21, was born in Newcastle and grew up supporting the Magpies, joining the club at the age of nine back in 2006 before making his way up through the ranks.
A prolific goalscorer for Newcastle’s reserve and youth teams as well as for England across various age levels, Armstrong has been touted for a bright future for many years, but his time with Newcastle may be coming to an end.
The forward spent time out on loan with Blackburn Rovers this season, scoring nine goals in 21 games to help them win promotion from League One after a three-goal loan spell with Bolton Wanderers.
It’s claimed that Armstrong doesn’t want to leave Newcastle, but with Benitez making plans without him at the club, it may be best that he moves on, and a permanent move to Blackburn may make sense.
