Newcastle United could send Tim Krul to PSV Eindhoven in a deal for Jeroen Zoet.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United have discussed a part-exchange deal for PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, which would involve Tim Krul heading the other way.
The Magpies not only tied up a permanent deal for Christian Atsu this summer, but also brought in Javier Manquillo, Florian Lejeune, Mikel Merino, Jacob Murphy and Joselu to boost Rafael Benitez’s squad.
However, manager Raafel Benitez still wants further additions before Thursday’s transfer deadline, with a new goalkeeper understood to be a priority for the Newcastle manager.

Benitez has allowed Matz Sels to join Anderlecht whilst demoting Karl Darlow to the bench, with Rob Elliot starting the season as Newcastle’s first-choice stopper following a lengthy injury lay-off.
Elliot may not be the long-term solution though, as the Daily Mail report that Newcastle are keen on PSV Eindhoven stopper Jeroen Zoet, with a possible part-exchange deal in the offing ahead of the deadline.
It’s claimed that Newcastle have discussed sending forgotten goalkeeper Tim Krul to PSV in a deal for Zoet, handing the Dutch giants money plus an immediate replacement for their first-choice custodian.

Zoet, 26, has made more than 150 first-team appearances for PSV since becoming their leading goalkeeper in 2013, whilst he also has nine caps for the Dutch national team having impressed with his club.
Newcastle are now keen to make him their new goalkeeper, potentially offering fellow Dutch international goalkeeper Krul a return to the Netherlands having been frozen out by Benitez.
The 29-year-old spent time on loan with Ajax and AZ Alkmaar last season before returning to Newcastle, but with no future under Benitez, he could be used as a makeweight for Zoet as the transfer deadline approaches.
