Southampton striker Shane Long is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace are also reported to be interested in the 30-year-old striker.

Not good enough?
Long has played in the Premier League for years and knows the top flight of English football inside out, but he is not very prolific.
The Republic of Ireland international striker scored three goals and provided one assist in 32 Premier League appearances for Southampton last season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, the 30-year-old scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 28 league games for the Saints.
Back in 2014-15, Long found the net five times and provided five assists in 32 Premier League matches for Southampton.

If promoted side Newcastle are looking for a striker, then they need someone who can score 15 to 20 goals in the Premier League.
The same goes for Brighton and Hove Albion, who also won promotion from the Championship at the end of last season.
With Christian Benteke being the first-choice striker at Palace, Long would be a back-up at the Eagles.
