Newcastle United will sell the 27-year-old if a replacement is promised, according to a report.

The Chronicle has claimed that Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is open to selling Jonjo Shelvey this summer – as long as he is replaced.
The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour in a big way under Benitez, and hasn’t started a game for Newcastle in 2019.
Shelvey was close to joining West Ham United in January [The Daily Mail] but the Spanish manager elected to keep him on Tyneside.
But The Chronicle reckons that Benitez may greenlight the Londoner’s sale this summer, but only if assurances are made that he can bring in a replacement.
The report adds that there’s already a £20 million offer on the table.
If those figures are accurate, it’s a steal for the Magpies and Benitez should definitely sell.
Shelvey is a good footballer, but the club-record addition of Miguel Almiron, the emergence of Sean Longstaff, and the re-emergence of Isaac Hayden means that he is simply not needed at St James’s Park and that’s a hell of a lot of money for a squad player.
