Newcastle United are amongst the group of sides interested in signing Middlesbrough’s Bilal Brahimi, according to reports.

Brahimi is one of the most highly-rated youngsters within the Boro ranks, and Tony Pulis handed the 18-year-old his senior debut with a substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup win over Rochdale earlier this season.
But it appears that he may perhaps not be at the Riverside Stadium for much longer. The Frenchman is out of contract this summer, according to France Football, and Newcastle are keen on a potential move as Rafa Benitez looks to bolster his youth options at St James’ Park.
But the Magpies are not the only side interested. Boro are trying to agree a professional deal with the starlet, while RB Leipzig and Rennes also have the attacker on their radar, according to the report.

Brahimi has played four times for Middlesbrough’s under-23 side this term, contributing one assist. And while he is predominantly a winger, he has shown that he can play on either flank or as a striker.
He certainly appears to be some way off being the finished article, but the stature of clubs interested suggests that many are tipping him for a very bright future, so it would seemingly be a coup for Newcastle to get something done.
