Tottenham Hotspur left back Danny Rose seemingly won’t be heading to Newcastle United.

According to The Sun, Newcastle United’s hopes of signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose appear to be over due to the wages involved.
The Magpies have splashed out on striker Joelinton, but they still need more reinforcements before the transfer deadline in less than two weeks.
A left back is a must, and there were rumours last week that new manager Steve Bruce is looking to bring Tottenham’s Rose up to St James’ Park.
However, it’s now believed that Newcastle’s hopes are over, as they believe that the wages involved mean a deal is beyond them.
Newcastle are looking to sign players to deals around £50,000-a-week, but with Rose earning more than that at Spurs – and possible wanting an increase on his £60,000-a-week wages – Newcastle can’t go that far.
The 29-year-old is allowed to leave Tottenham this summer, and has been left behind from their pre-season tour to Asia in order to find a new club.

Newcastle may well have been hoping that they should tempt the Doncaster-born England ace back up north, but the money doesn’t appear to be there, with a fee of around £20million needed on top of his wages.
That means Newcastle are likely to look elsewhere, and L’Equipe report that the Magpies have moved for Paris Saint-Germain’s Stanley Nsoki instead, in a deal which would be all-around cheaper to pull off.
