Newcastle United and Southampton are reportedly interested in the available Everton star.
Everton winger Yannick Bolasie may be offered the chance to stay in the Premier League next year, with The Sun reporting that Southampton and Newcastle are eyeing potential bids for the 29-year-old this summer.
Bolasie has endured a tough season with Marco Silva not including him in his plans at Goodison Park. He spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Aston Villa, but then headed to Anderlecht after an underwhelming spell in the Championship.
The Sun reports that the £25 million signing is available again this summer, with the Toffees prepared to consider selling the DR Congo international should they receive bids of at least £7 million.
The report suggests that both the Magpies and Saints are interested in offering Bolasie a fresh challenge, while former club Crystal Palace are keen on taking the wide-man on loan next season – though Everton hope to sell him permanently.
Bolasie – who earns £75,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – would be a risky signing for the likes of Newcastle and Southampton, and it would be little surprise if their respective supporters had no interest in a move.
He clearly has quality, but his Premier League record does not stand out. His best season in the top flight saw him score five goals, while he has never got more than six assists in a single campaign at the highest level.
For around £7 million, he may prove to be a steal. But it says something that Everton will probably feel, initially at least, that they have got the much better end of the deal if one of their rivals decides to meet their reported asking price during the coming months.
