According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho prefers a move to Chelsea over fellow suitors Newcastle United and Leicester City.
The former Liverpool ace has fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp.
Coutinho has spent this season out on loan at Bayern. However, with the Bundesliga giants set against signing him permanently, the Brazilian’s future is up in the air.
Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona are keen to sell him and seek around £80 million.
Newcastle and Leicester are mentioned in the report as suitors, with both clubs plotting ambitious moves this summer to move to the next level.
The Foxes are likely to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are in the middle of a takeover from a wealthy Saudi group. The Magpies could suddenly have huge financial backing and become a major player.
Coutinho, 27, would be an incredible signing for either club.
Despite his struggles at Barca, the attacking midfielder still possesses huge quality. In 22 Bundesliga games for Bayern this season, he has posted eight goals and six assists.
Mundo Deportivo, however, say that Coutinho instead prefers a move to Chelsea.
The Blues are no doubt the most established of the Premier League suitors while being in London will always make them an attractive proposition.
