According to the Daily Mail, AC Milan want to sign Bournemouth striker Joshua King this summer – but he prefers the Premier League.

It’s claimed that Lazio and Roma also want to sign King, who only has a year left on his deal at Bournemouth.

With the Cherries relegated to the Championship, King looks unlikely to stay on the South Coast – and he isn’t short of suitors.

Newcastle United and Everton want King too, but Bournemouth want around £25million for the Norwegian attacker.

One interesting note in this report is that King would prefer to join a Premier League club this summer, even if Milan come calling.

The 28-year-old would therefore still be an option for Everton and Newcastle, but they need to come up with the cash to sign him.

Everton appear to be going for more experienced players this summer with Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and James Rodriguez linked, and King fits a similar bill.

Newcastle need a striker more than Everton, but whether Steve Bruce can pay £25million remains to be seen.

King only scored six goals last season, meaning that fee would be a real gamble, especially considering his limited resale value – and that price could just put some suitors off.
