According to the Daily Mail (15:15), Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko is discussing a deadline day move to Everton.
Sissoko, 27, has been heavily criticised for his inconsistency since joining Newcastle from Toulouse in his native France back in 2013, and he struggled in patches last season as the Magpies were relegated to the Championship.

However, the powerful midfielder then showed how good he can be as he starred for France in their Euro 2016 campaign this summer, particularly impressing in the tournament final against Portugal.
Those displays have triggered interest, and whilst Sky Sports reported earlier today that Tottenham were in talks over a deal to sign Sissoko, the disagreement over his valuation has now allowed Everton into the race.

The Daily Mail report that Sissoko is now discussing a move to Goodison Park, with Ronald Koeman’s men making a real attempt to land him before the transfer deadline.
Everton did add a midfielder earlier this summer in Idrissa Gueye, but Sissoko would add more pace and attacking prowess in Koeman’s engine room – but his arrival may lead to the departure of one player.

It’s claimed that, with Sissoko potentially heading to Everton, midfielder James McCarthy may be allowed to leave before the deadline passes, freeing up the space to bring in Sissoko.
The report adds that Everton have been pursuing Sissoko throughout the summer and could now be closing in on their man, but with a £30m asking price, there may still be some work to do on this deal.
