Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty and Manchester United’s James Wilson are reportedly on the radar of Bolton Wanderers.
Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon will make a move for Manchester United striker James Wilson if he fails to bring in Kyle Lafferty from Norwich City, according to The Sun.
“I like Kyle as a player,” The Sun quotes Lennon as saying about the Norwich striker.
“He can be a bit streaky as a player but he probably just needs an arm around him. Can I bring him here? Probably ‘no’. It’s a question of finance.”
The Sun claims that if Lennon fails to bring in Lafferty on a loan deal, then he will move for United’s 19-year-old striker Wilson.
Bolton, though, will face competition to secure the services of the teenager on a loan deal.
That’s because more than 20 clubs have enquired for the United striker, according to The Daily Mail, with the British newspaper also stating that the Trotters’ Championship rivals Derby County are favourites to sign him.
Wilson is a talented young player who has already made his Premier League debut for United.
However, it seems that the England Under-21 international is not in United manager Louis van Gaal’s plans at the moment.
Joining a Championship side like Bolton or Derby is going to help Wilson develop his game and get experience of playing in a very competitive environment.
