According to the Daily Mail, Celtic defender Christopher Jullien could make his long-awaited return against Sparta Prague on Thursday – but only on the bench.
The 27-year-old hasn’t played for Celtic since the 12th of September, as he featured in a 5-0 thrashing at Ross County.
Jullien has been struggling with a back injury for two months now, and whilst he was on the bench against St Mirren and St Johnstone, he hasn’t been able to make his return.
Celtic miss the Frenchman dearly; their defensive displays have been shaky this season, and Jullien also poses a threat in attack with two goals and two assists this term.
£8million ace Jullien would be a saviour for Neil Lennon right now, but it’s suggested that he would only be on the bench in Prague.
Celtic were dismantled by Sparta earlier this month, smashing the Bhoys 4-1 at Parkhead as Jullien’s absence was one again felt.

Fans may want to see Jullien make an instant return to the starting lineup, but Celtic will likely be cautious with him rather than risk losing him to another injury straight away.
Still, his imminent comeback is a major boost moving forward, and Celtic will be hoping that he can solve their defensive woes – even if Thursday comes a touch too soon for him.
