The former Queens Park Rangers captain could help to shrink the void created by two Hull City departures.
Nedum Onuoha is on Hull City’s radar after reaching the end of his contract at Queens Park Rangers, according to the Daily Mirror (liveblog entry 18:57).
QPR have already confirmed that Onuoha will not return to Loftus Road next season and a return to the north of England, where he spent the bulk of his career as a Manchester City and Sunderland player, could be on the cards.
Hull have found themselves short in the centre-back’s position, after Michael Dawson signed for Nottingham Forest and Michael Hector returned to Chelsea, his parent club, following the season’s end.
And landing Onouha, who played 29 times throughout the past Championship campaign and boasts vast experience at Premier League level, could help to shrink the void created by the former Tigers pair.
The 31-year-old has already distanced himself from a return to Sunderland, who will compete in England’s third tier next term.
Meanwhile, QPR are set to bid for Preston North End’s Paul Huntington as the Onuoha’s replacement, according to the Sun.
